DescriptionLetter from David Garrick to James Beattie, Aberdeen, mentioning his poor health; thanking Beattie for his present; talking about Beattie's book and his 'Essay on the Nature and Immutability of Truth'. Garrick writes about his dining with the Bishop of Gloucester and verses written by Lord Chatham, which were delivered by Lord Lyttelton.
