DescriptionNote from Sir Joshua Reynolds to James Beattie, inviting Beattie to a family dinner with Reynolds and Miss Palmer [Theophila Palmer (1757 - 1848) was Reynolds' niece].

"If Dr. Beattie and his Son should happen to be disengaged today and will take a family dinner in a quiet way with Sir Joshua Reynolds & Miss Palmer --- they will be very glad.
