Description	Enquires after health of Beattie and young folk. Disappointed Beattie did not call [on way back from Peterhead?] always welcome. Their friend Dr Playfair obliged for Beattie's good opinion of book [probably James Playfair's A system of chronology, though this was not published till 1784]. Grief at death of her young daughter
