Asks Lady Mayne to thank Dr Majendie for his part in the matter of the Royal subscription granted to Beattie: 'The sentiments, which his Royal Mistress has been pleased to express in regard to my affairs, do me the greatest honour; and I should be as unworthy of them as Mr Hume would wish to represent me, if they did not give me the greatest pleasure.'
