Edward Dilly [1732-1779]. He and his brother Charles were booksellers in The Poultry, London. The brothers were the London publishers of the Essay on Truth and The Minstrel
Description
Glad booksellers in London intend to apply for an Act of Parliament to counteract the late decision regarding literary property. Wrong that they who have paid for property should have it taken by Donaldson or others without paying a farthing. Authors deserve reward. Profits for fourteen years are not sufficient reward for labour, and some would receive no reward at all.
