DescriptionInventory of writs and evidents of tenements, etc as delivered by James Logertwood of Tillery to William Smith in Wellhead of Kinstair (Alford Aberdeen). Includes "Great Tenement of Foreland" under and above with the Little Back Houff", which sometimes pertained to James Geills, gardener in Aberdeen, and others, on the north side of the Castlegate of Aberdeen, to deceased Alexander Thomson, town clerk of Aberdeen, then to Alexander Ligertwood and his wife Margaret Ferrier, and now to James Ligertwood of Tillery, merchant in Aberdeen, their son; the names of many Aberdeen residents are given as owning or occupying property at various dates from 1629 onwards.
