1656, December 17 St Andrews: letter to Viscount of Arbuthnott from George Weemss [Wemyss], rector of the university of St Andrews, stating that the university had decided to accept the Viscount of Arbuthnott's offer for an amicable settlement of the dispute regarding the teinds of Drumellie. With other letters from Lord Arbuthnott and Carnegie of Pittaro regarding the dispute, 1657.

1664, August 9 Muchell: letter to the Viscount of Arbuthnott from Andrew, Baron Fraser, regretting that the shire was so much troubled with quartering and asking Lord Arbuthnott to protect the writer's tenants. Refers to the 'broken men' troubling the shire and urges the gentlemen of the Mearns to address the Privy Council on the subject
