| Description | John Arbuthnott, later the 10th Viscount, married Anna Harriet Allen, daughter of Edmund Allen of Cheltenham, in 1871. Edmund Allen, who had estates in Scotland, had died in 1854. The three bundles of documents relate to the settlement of his estate and to the provisions of the contract of marriage between his daughter and the Master of Arbuthnott.
