Said Liferent bond of provision etc. was granted by William, Earl of Aberdeen, (following on marriage contract with Lady Anne Gordon, third daughter of Alex. Duke of Gordon, then deceased) and Henriet, Duchess of Gordon of 2 Dec. 1729, signed at Edinburgh on 13 Feb. 1739. Extract extends to 49 fullscap pages which are stitched together in book form, each page being signed by extractor. [Actually found in 2701 without a pencil reference number and assigned here as Box 5 had an examination in 1969 no item 5 m.a.s.] No clue intext as to why this has been preserved here. No mention of Frasers or Inverallochy lands or places with which they are connected. ?Here because of marriage (in 1707) between Alex. Fraser, 17th of Phillorth and 12th Lord Saltoon to Lady Mary Gordon, daughter of 1st Earl of Aberdeen. |
