Description"Backtrack" contract signed at Banff and cairnbulg betwen Wm. Leslie of Brisdbank,(with consent of Helen Monroe, his wife, & on behalf of her & their son , George), and Thomas Crichtoune, servitor to Andrew, Lord Fraser,(for whom Lord Fraser & the Master of Fraser were named as cautioners), following on contract of same dates between Leslies and Andrew, Lord Fraser etc. - see 194 respecting wadset of lands of Coubourtie etc & tiendsheaves thereof. Under rights therein contained Leslie now sets to Crichtoune in his turn the lands of Cowburtie, Urinall & Brigend of Cowburtie & tiendsheaves thereof for 2 1/2 years from Mart.1654. Sitting tenants not to be dispossessed but Crichtoune to be empowered to uplift mailles, fermss & tiend silver & other duties etc. paying yearly for this 4 chalders bier & 200 merks Scots. Duly signed and witnessed.
