DescriptionContract signed at "Inneralloquhye" [Inverallochy] between Sir Alex. Fraser of Fraserburgh, knight, and George Baird, brother of Gilbert Baird of Auchmedden respecting payment by Baird to Fraser of 1200 merks. Fraser to infeft him in shadow third of lands of Couburtie (occupied by David Birnie) in barony of Phillorth by feu charter from Fraser for yearly payment of 10 merks feuduty and doubling same at entry of heirs with precept of sasine. David Birnie to be allowed 4 years tack of lands on payment of duty and service as in his present tack. Astrusted to mill of G?ter Tyrie, lands redeemable by Fraser on payment of 1200 merks and granting of yearly tack to Baird on payment of 24 bolls victual, 6 geese, 12 capons, 12 poultry, 1 mart, 2 bolls horse corn, 20 thrave straw, the wintering of beast, win, lead, east, 1 leit of peats to Fraserburgh or 2 to Phillorth, 2 'bandwin of huiks' one day in harvest one at Sir Alex's expense and the other at Baird's, to harrow 12 bolls sowing in any of the ? mains of Phillorth with service, "hereage and careage" leading of corn, etc. Letters of reversion to be granted and registration in books of Council and Session or at Aberdeen - procuratory thereafter included. Duly signed and witnessed. Witnesses: Walter Fraser, brother and James, son to Sir Alex., John Kennedie and Alex. Harper his servants and John Simpson, N.P.
