On parchment, in Latin. Sealed at Edinburgh 30 August & written to Great Seal, 25 Aug. 1638 acc to endorsements . Minute hereof recorded recorded in books of exchequer at Aberdeen. signature indecipherable on 23 May 1656 on its production by John Urquhart.
A note on the wrapper in much later hand states that this charter contains lands of Little Arnage, Corsehill,Whitehillock,Alehouse Croft, Proctor's Croft, Waulkmill, Cornmill of Little Arnage, Blindburn [part of Meikle Arnage with right of digging fuel in Tillydesk Moss] , Hilton, Kynnarachie (with salmon fishings on Ythan, Mill town of Arnage, Kirkhill, Cauldwells, Pilltachie with the mosses.
