Granted by George Gordon, chamberlain of Huntly and Jean Anderson, his wife, consequent upon contract between them and John Gordon of Hiltoun & his wife, Jean Scott of 17 June 1636 when George G. etc. for 3,000 merks obtained from John G. etc. wadset of Blindburn (as possessed by James Lillie), with tiendsheaves etc. in barony of Hiltoune and parish of Ellon under reversion of said sum. John Gordon, sometime of Hiltoun & son of John Gordon of Buckie, had now sold to John Donaldson, merchant burgess of Aberdeen the lands of and barony of Hiltoun and Kinharrachie, Little Arnage and others comprehending said lands of Blindburn, Donaldson had become John Gordon's assignee to said reversion & right of redemption as in assignation of May 1638. Donaldson had now redeemed the wadset by payment of said 3,000 merks to George Gordon who now renounces it.
