DescriptionDisposition granted at Old and New Aberdeen - on paper in O.Sc - by John Gordon, elder, of Buckie, Beatrix Urquhart, his wife, John Gordon of Hiltoune, his eldest son, Jean Scott, his [second] wife, William Gordon, second son of John Gordon of Buckie (in respect of lands of Caulwallis and ? Peltachie and tenant in Ellon redeemed from him according to terms of bond of provision and with consent of John Chalmer, sheriff clerk depute of Aberdeen), in favour of John Donaldson, merchant burgesss of Aberdeen, for himself and on behalf of Margaret Donaldson, his wife, on payment by Donaldson to John Gordon of Hiltoun of £42,000 Sc. respecting lands of Little Arnage, Corsehill, Quhythillock, etc., Hiltoune, barony and lands of Kinharrachie, Tillydesk, etc. (as in earlier writs). Entry to be at Whit. 1638. Many signatures appended (besides those of principals and witnesses), consenting to contract according to rights they might have under letters of inhibition and apprising.
