Description | Contract of alienation or disposition by Thomas, Lord Bruce of Kinloss, to John Gordon of Buchan [?] of tiends of Kinharrachie & others. Signed at Edinburgh on 6th by John Gordon and at Loudoun by Thomas, Lord Bruce of Kinloss on 20th. James VI had granted a charter under the Great seal on 3 May 1608 to the late Edward, Lord Bruce of Kinloss, Thomas' father, respecting lordship and barony of Kinloss including tiendsheaves etc. of parish kirk & parish of Ellon on resignation thereof into hands of crown by the sometime commendator & convent of Kinloss, and infeftment therein had been later granted to Edward, Lord Bruce & Thomas, Lord Bruce of Kinloss in succession to their father. Now determined that (by act re titulars having right to tiends of other mens' lands that heritors of the ground should have right to possess tiends on giving satisfaction to titulars as in decreet of 2 Sept. 1629.
Infeftment & sasine to be granted to be held of his Lordship in free blench on payment of one penny yearly & crown dues etc. according to valuation & the other from his lordship of the crown for £4 Sc. & £12 Sc.as part of the minister's stipend yearly. Procuratory of resignation included (letters of tack of same date excepted from warrandice clause) etc.
