DescriptionInstrument of resignation, taken by James Abernethie, N.P., Aberdeen, at Palace of Holyroodhouse, Edinburgh, on presentation by Master William Douglas, one of the ordinary macers of the Privy Council, as procurator for John Gordon, elder, of Buckie, to Wm. , Earl of Monteath, President of H.M. Council of Exchequer for Scotland & other exchequer commissioners, of letters of resignation into the hands of the crown of lands certain for new infeftment in favour of John Gordon, younger, and his wife Johane Campbell in implement of their marriage contract - lands of Little Arnage , Blinburne part of lands of Little Esslemont, shadow half of Forthrie called Dairforthrie, Hiltoun etc. Liferent in at least some appears to be reserved to John Gordon, elder, & his wife, Beatrice Urquhart. New infeftment granted to John Gordon, younger, (Duncan Campbell, son of Robert Campbell of Glen Fallady acting as his procurator) under the Great Seal, before Harie Osburne and Robert Wallace, W.S., Patrick Scott N.P. & Alex. Blair N.P. In parchment mainly in O.Sc.
