DescriptionCharter under the Great Seal granted at at Edinburgh on 23 July 1697, written to the Great Seal and registered 8 Sep. 1697 by Duncan Ronald, [?clerk depute] Sealed at Edinburgh on the same day by [?] F. Home.

In favour of Robert Turner, son of the late Andrew Turner, sometime in Kininnite, in parish of Birse & his heirs male, when failing, John Turner son of Wm. Turner in Aboyne & his heirs male, whom failing, the heirs male of late John Turner in Danzig etc., respecting lands and barony of Hilltoune now called Rosehill etc. as in charter of 8 Dec. 1682 and also lands of Newark, Meikle Tippertie, Warrichmoor & half of arable of Reidmoss in parish of Logie Buchan.
Lands purchased by executors of late John Turner of Danzig under his will of 17 Jan. 1688 confirmed at Edinburgh on 23 Sep. 1690 (special mention made of Master Alex. Litster, sometime regent in Marischal College, Aberdeen) & will of John Turner is quoted at Length. Barony had previously been in possession of John Ross of Rosehill & resignation made on 21 Dec. 1694 with consent of his mother, Margaret Udny & his wife Elizabeth Farquharson. Lands had been conveyed to Robert Turner on 13 Sep. 1693.

Now the barony and lands were to be infeft in favour of Turner under the name of Turnerhall. Precept of sasine included.
