| Description | Instrument of intimation taken at Tippertie by Patrick Cattanach, N.P., on intimation by Robert Turner, now of Rosehill, to John Rose sometime of Rosehill, of summons of reduction and declarator raised at instance of Arthur Forbes, younger of Echt,heritable proprietor of moss of Piltachie and Coldwalles, for appearance of Ross before Council and Session in Nov. "to warrand the forsd. Moss" to Robert Turner. Instrument taken that this was done at house of Patrick [?] Dowe of Tartie before Alex. Gordon, servant to the laird of Udny and George Fraser, servant to the laird of Tartie.

Note: item 79 in Inventory made by Messers. J. & G. Colliw - see 179 infra - was given as: Instrument of intimation of Robert Innes to John Rose to concur with him in defending action raised by Arthur Forbes against William Turner dated 5th Oct. 1693. There is no sign of such a MS. among the documents sent to the library -probably the MS. now numbered 147 was the one taken for it.
