Description[Very faded-probably contemporary] copy of last will and testament of John Turner, merchant in "Dantzick" [Danzig]. On paper in O.Sc. Heir to lands etc. in Scotland, named as Robert Turner, son of the late Andrew Turner sometime dwelling in Kinninitie in the parish of Birse and at present living in Aberdeen at the school ? beside Master Alex. Lister, his regent and tutor and cousin to John Turner (who was apparently son of Wm. Turner dwelling in Aboyne).
Numerous bequests to persons named Turner to whom testator was related and provision for bursaries for King's and Marischal Colleges for persons of that name and annual pensions to poor burgesses of Aberdeen, etc. Estate to be entailed - details given. Also provision for bequest of money etc. in Danzig to relatives and others living there.

Signed at Danzig before Patrick Forbes and William Lumsden, merchants in Danzig.
Executors named in Scotland as Rt. Hon. Sir George Skein of Fintry, his [i.e. Turner's] cousin, Master Alex. Lister, "Regent in Marischal Colledge", and his cousin, Wm. Turner, son of deceased, John Turner, sometime in the Kirktown of Birse; also friends in Danzig - Wm. Broune, Patrick Forbes and Wm. Lumsden.
Note: in inventory listed below as 168. the date of this will is given as 17 Jan. 1689, but this copy gives year as 1688. [Old ref. 40.]
