Description | Extract (by Gilbert Beidie, sheriff clerk depute) of registration at Aberdeen on above date at the instance of George Pattoun as procurator for Thomas Mitchell, late baillie? of Aberdeen, of a discharge granted by Mitchell at Aberdeen on 11 Aug.. 1671 in favour of John Donaldson of Hiltoun and John Gordon of Buckie on receipt of 800 merks in part payment of 1000 merks principal & interest etc. owing to the late Thomas Mitchell, N.P., Aberdeen (sometime of the Little Milne of Esslemont) by John Gordon of Buckie, elder and younger, as in bond of 21 Aug. 1631 to which Thomas Mitchell had obtained right by assignation (of translation of 3 Sept. 1682[?]) & legal action (including arrestment involving debts of Donaldson to Gordon).
