DescriptionLetters of inhibition and arrestment granted at Edinburgh under the signet - extracted & ?signetted on 14 Jan. 1675 by ?Andrew Thomson - at the instance of William Moir, advocate, now of Hiltoune, against Alexander Donaldson, sometime of Hiltoune and now of Drumquhyndle, as the heritable proprietor of lands, fishing, tiends etc. og Hiltoune etc.with consent of Margaret Donaldson, his mother, his brothers & sisters & other interested parties, respecting disposition of them of 7 & 31 Jan., 1 Feb., 23 &27 May 1673 (relative to & in corroboration of former disposition by deceased John Donaldson etc. of 15 Oct 1672, in favour of the complainer, Wm. Moir respecting lands and barony of Hiltoune etc. (including those in gift of escheat - see 111). Too lengthy to summarise more fully here. Registration at Edinburgh on 16 Mar, 1674 by George Robertson is also recorded of above & of executions by James Cumming and George Pratt, messengers, on 12 Feb. 1764 are attached in dorso.
