DescriptionLetter from Garden Duff [of Hatton], from Aberdeen, to John (Robert) Tod, W.S., Ainslie Place, Edinburgh, transmitting a bill on the Aberdeen Bank on Sir William Forbes & Co. for £3000, which with a former one on Messrs. Donald Smith & Co., bankers in Edinburgh, from the Town and County Bank of Aberdeen for £3000, completes amount of £6000 heritable bond in Tod’s custody in Duff’s favour by Lord Glasgow and Lord Kilburn on the lands of Hawhead, thus completing the transaction. He also states he has no wish to oppose the purchase of the ‘Dour Lands’ by the trustees of the late James, Lord Fife, ‘as far as it can be done with safety’.
