DescriptionInstrument of sasine taken by Patrick Chalmer, town clerk of Aberdeen, on presentation by Robert Cruickshank, baillie of Aberdeen, at the request of Master John Gregory, minister of the gospel at the kirk of Dalmaok [now Drumoak] (on behalf of his wife Janet Anderson), and of Thomas Thom---, minister of the gospel at the kirk of Udny (on behalf of his wife Isabella Anderson), two sisters of the late David Anderson of Finzeauch, burgess of Aberdeen, and also of Rebert Reid, writer, Aberdeen, on behalf of George Wilson, lawful son of the late George Wilson and the late Christina Anderson (sister of the above J., I. and D. Anderson). These ladies and their nephew, being heirs of feu-ferme with equal shares in burgage lands possessed by the late David Anderson in Aberdeen (apparently in the neighbourhood of Schoolhill), were granted infeftment by baillies of Aberdeen on 30 January 1644. The boundaries of the lands are given in detail, with the names of possessors of those adjacent, including Mathew Young, John Drum?, the late Alex. Anderson, Wright, the late Gilbert Guthrie (Marchmont Herald), James Strachan, Alex Ross, the late David Cargill, Alexander Davidson, Alexander Rutherford, John Anderson, Robert Wishart, John Morrison, Gilbert Leslie, Alexander Brabner, Andrew Ingram and others.
