| Description | This sketchbook, attributed to William Smith, contains sketches created in pencil, ink and watercolour. The subject matter includes architectural sketches of buildings, decorations and motifs. In addition, there are a number of technical drawings, which include measurements, notes on structures and floor plans. Locations include Fiesole, Genoa, Pisa, Florence, Rome and Naples. Some of the pages in the sketchbook are loose. The pages have been numbered in pencil from 1 - 84 possibly by William Kelly's hand and is connected to MS 2380/1/4/2. |
