| Description | This sketchbook has been attributed to Charles Carmichael but is not signed. Sketchbook containing works in pencil and ink. The subject matter includes architectural sketches of buildings, decorations and motifs. In addition, there are a number of technical drawings, which include measurements and structural notes. The locations covered in the sketchbook include Antwerp, Malines, Louvain, Cologne, Florence and Venice. Some pages show signs of foxing and there have been pages added into the main section. An insert showing a drawing from Louvain (dated 20th April 1886) which has been signed WK. |
