DescriptionAssignation and Conveyance granted by James Waters, collector of customs at Wick, in favour of George Sinclair, fishcurer in Wick, respecting all rights Waters had had as trustee in part of lease between late Sir Benjamin Dunbar (Lord Duffus) and deceased Benjamin Henderson and Thomas Hill, respecting two acres of ground, etc. above the brae of Staxigoe, after Henderson's death leased by widow, Mrs Elizabeth Henderson; son James acquired right, but his estate was sequestrated in 1835 and Waters was appointed trustee and reversion of ? part of tack was on 25 August 1845 sold to George Sinclair. Other related subjects were sold to John Reach and they and Robert Bruce, residing in Staxigoe, had arranged that the subjects be conveyed in three lots to them. George Sinclair having paid sum agreed on this, assignment is agranted at Poultneytown on 29 July 1846. Original tack was a 99 year one dated 7 January, 27 March and 2 July 1800 as from Whit. 1791.
