Printed epitaphs written by James Gregory for Sir James Foulis of Colinton and Sir William Forbes of Pitsligo, 1806. James Foulis is described as a virtuous old man and a strong soldier who retired early from the army to the honourable life of leisure and literature. Sir William Forbes is described as the most pure of men whose memory is adored.
