Administrative History | George Percy (1778 - 1867), 5th Duke of Northumberland, was the son of Algernon Percy, 1st Earl of Beverley. He married Louisa Harcourt-Stuart-Wartley-MacKenzie in 1801 and with her had five children, including Algernon George Percy, 6th Duke of Northumberland and General Sir Henry Hugh Manvers Percy, V.C. (1817 - 1877). He was made a Privy Councillor in 1842. |
