Administrative HistoryReverend John Skinner (1721 - 1807), was Episcopal minister of Longside, Aberdeenshire, and a church historian and respected poet. He was the author of 'Ecclesiastical History of Scotland' (1788).

Bishop John Skinner (1744 - 1816), an alumnus of Marischal College from 1757 - 1761, was Episcopal Bishop of Aberdeen, 1782 - 1816, and Primus of the Scottish Episcopal Church, 1788 - 1816, and was the son of Reverend John Skinner, Episcopal minister of Longside, Aberdeenshire.

Bishop William Skinner (1778 - 1857), M.A., Marischal College, 1796, Episcopal Bishop of Aberdeen, 1816 - 1857, and Primus of the Scottish Episcopal Church, 1841 - 1857, was the son of Bishop John Skinner of Aberdeen.
