| Description | Inventory of writs and books in the possession of Anna Gordon, relict of John Barclay, episcopal minister at Peterhead, taken by Robert Kilgour and Robert Garden, both in Peterhead. The writs date from 1593-1761 and the books include English and Latin Bibles, ‘Dapins Solutions’, ‘Enchiridion’ and ‘A large parcel of Barclay’s letters in sheets’. A receipt by John Gordon, advocate, is appended which acknowledges delivery by Jean Barclay, relict of deceased Thomas Gordon, merchant in Aberdeen, executrix of Anna Gordon, of first 15 of writs inventoried. |
