Description | Extract by James Pringle of Decreet granted at Edinburgh anent summons raised at the instance of John Davidson, W.S. against James Barclay, now of Cairnies, merchant in Jamaica. Barclay is to pay to Davidson £2000 plus interest since 6 June 1757 as share of estate of their brother, George, now deceased, due to their sister Mary Barclay, wife of John Gordon of Buthlaw, assigned to Davidson, with £100 expenses. Receipt of extracting dues is recorded by John Steuart on 19 January 1765 at end of extract. |
