Mr David Ogilvie, who commences Master of Arts in this University in the year 1681, by his bequeathed to this College £200 sterling for the education of a bursar, and £25 sterling to be laid out in books of Philosophy and Mathematics. Books were bought and deposited in the library 1740.
Thomas Hollis, esq. of Corsecombe in Dorsetshire, presented books to the library, 1761 – 1767. The said Thomas Hollis, Esq left to the Library in his will One hundred Pounds sterling to be laid out in books written by English, Scottish, Irish Authors, relating to Government or to Civil or Natural History or to the Mathematics and the money was remitted by his Heir Thomas Brand Hollis, Esq, 1774
