Description	'Petition for Principal Alexander Midletone ane remanent members of the King's College of Aberdeen, to the Lord Comissioners of justiciarie. 1671, Jermiah Hitch, son to the Dean of York a student at King's College was strangled by James Walker in a struggle and died. Principal Alexander Midleton [Middleton] and the masters represent to the Privy Council against the trail being held in Edinburgh. The Privy Counsel allow the masters to choose between Edinburgh and the next Circuit Court at Aberdeen'.
