| Description | Obligement John Henderson of Balmade, Chamberlain of Delgaty; narrating the lands of Balmade having been exposed to public roup on the 20th December 1750 and that he the said John Henderson became the purchaser, that the patrons of Redhyth's mortification had granted him a feu charter dated 25th March 1752 disponing the said lands for the yearly payment to the Masters of mortifications of said College for the use and behoof of Redhyth's mortification of the quantity of 6 Bolls bear, 9 Bolls white meal at 9 stone and 75 bolls, 3 firlots of farm meal at 8 stone together with the sum of £371:15: - Scots in name of feu duty, with a tenth part of the feu duty at entering an heir, counting the victual at £4: 3: 4 per boll, and half a years feu-duty for a singular successor, besides giving personal obligement for payment of the feuduties taking all public burdens etc. Therefore coming under obligation to perform the premises etc. |
