Administrative HistoryAlexander Stewart, He was the son of James Stewart Earl of Buchan who was the second son of Sir James Stewart (surnamed the Black Knight of Lorn) by Jane widow of James the 1st. This Sir James Stewart, the second son as above, was created Earl of Buchan by King James the 3rd 1469.
DescriptionGift of the patronage of the Kirk of Slains by Alexander Earl of Buchan in favour of William Bishop of Aberdeen, Chancellor of the University thereof, whereto the Earl's seal is appended.
