Administrative History | The Rector - Neither the Foundation Charters or Bulls mention the election of a Rector for the College. The first mention of the election of a Rector is in 1634. The role of the Rector of the College was to be external to the governing body of the College, so as to carry out visitations of the College and review any ongoing issues, misconduct of staff, misuse of goods and college income and repairs required to the fabric of the building. |
