N.B. folios 10 and 11 are wanting. The first foundation of Bishop Elphinstone Folio 13 et seq. The two foundations of Bishop Elphinstone which is present standing rule of the college. Folio IV, page 2 is a charter for the burgh of Old Aberdeen' [Carta priueligiorum ciuitatis Abirdonensis: James IV confirms previous rights and privileges and of new and creates Old Aberdeen a burgh of barony. 21st August, 1498. Physical Description | Note in deposit file: Sent for rebinding to S.M. Cockerell, May 1956. On the back page is a note from Cockerell: 'DC 3643, KC.90. Leaves thymoled and sized, framed with handmade paper and sewn together on 5 tapes, handmade paper ends, linen joints, split boards, spine covered with red Native Niger Morocco, marbled paper sides, vellum tips, gold lettering, pencil notes on fly leaf fixed. May 1956. |
