| Administrative History | Cuparstone Nursing Home, Aberdeen was founded around 1934, and was owned and run by a Miss Mary Stewart. It was situated at 34, Great Western Road, Aberdeen, which was previously Cuparstone House. In 1938 it had twelve beds, of which some were reserved for maternity cases, though the proportion of maternity cases diminished in later years. It seems not to have remained open much beyond 1951, when there remained one or two elderly long-term women patients. The property was owned by Archibald's Soft Furnishings, and is currently in use as a spa facility. |
