DescriptionDescription of 'febrile' cases in the Regimental Hospital [location not given but assumed at St. Owen's Bay, Jersey]. Medical Officers: Surgeon: McGrigor; Assistant Surgeons: Bruce and Brown.

Remarks are entered for each day and include the name of the patient, their complaint, the medicines prescribed, their progress and if they have been dismissed from hospital. Weekly remarks are given on pages 6, 15, 33, 41, 47 and 55, and an incomplete index, listing only cases of 'epilepsia', 'febris' and pneumonia, is provided at the end of the volume. A partial index of cases is also inserted at the front of the volume.

30 December-5 January (page 6): 9 cases dismissed and 4 new cases admitted.

6-12 January (page 15): of the 24 cases reported for the previous week, 8 have been dismissed, 1 has died and 3 new cases have been admitted.

[12?]-26 January (page 33): 4 cases dismissed cured, 2 cases died and 4 new cases reported.

27 January-3 February (page 41): 8 cases dismissed, 1 case died and 2 new cases reported.

3-9 February (page 47): 'We have now only 8 cases and none of them Typhus or dangerous cases'.

10-16 February (page 55): 5 cases dismissed and 6 new cases reported.
