Description | Collection of lecture notes on medical and scientific subjects. Includes notes of lectures attended by members of the Med-Chi Society and subsequently donated to the Society's library. These include notes taken by members while studying in Edinburgh, such as those of George French who attended lectures given by William Cullen on the Practice of Medicine during session 1769-1770 (AMCS/3/4/1). The collection also includes notes of lectures delivered by prominent members of the Society and the medical profession in Aberdeen such as those of Professor Ashley Mackintosh (AMCS/3/15), and rare copies of lectures such as those given by Professor James Clerk Maxwell on Natural Philosophy (AMCS/3/17). |
