Description | Volume 1: Notes on clinical cases taken by William Young at Edinburgh in 1777. [It is unclear if these are notes taken by him when he was a student or if they are notes taken while he was practicing in Edinburgh.]
Pages 1-160 contain notes on specific cases recording the name and age of the patient, their illness and the treatment prescribed. Notes on a variety of medical subjects are recorded on pages 161-186 and include: relaxants, the pulse, mercury, opium and blood. Notes on cases are then again recorded numbered from pages 1-195. An index to the various diseases referred to is provided at the end of the volume. |
