Pages 1-57 appear to contain a history of the library as set down by Alexander Beattie, President, and pages 59 onwards contains minutes of meetings of the 'proprietors of the Medical Library of Reciprocity', 19 July 1821-14 December 1825 (but also later entries for 1826 and 1831). Only half of the volume is used. A note at the end of the volume states: 'This volume, after being many years out of the Society's possession, was restored through Mr. G. M. Fraser, Librarian, Aberdeen Public Library, and Dr. [G. M.?] Duncan, then Secretary to the Aberdeen Medico-Chirurgical Society, to the Library'. |
