Administrative History | In 1906, the University celebrated its Quatercentenary (strictly this should have been celebrated in 1895) culminating with the conclusion of its ambitious Buildings Extension Scheme (1892 - 1906). The magnificent new building at Marischal, designed by the Aberdeen architect Alexander Marshall Mackenzie, was opened by King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra during a state visit to Aberdeen. |
