Description | Copy of a letter from Robert Brownrigg to Lord Adam Gordon. Commanded by Duke of York to reply to letter sent by Gordon to Henry Dundas: the Duke cannot recommend that the Deputy Adjutant General and Deputy Quarter Master General in 'North Britain' should be placed in a better situation than similar officers in England. There is no necessity for a Brigade Major General to be attached to forces under Gordon's command. |
