Description | Minutes of trustees under deed of settlement, 1837 - 1852. The trustees of Phineas MacKintosh were the Reverend Dr. Rose, William MacKintosh, Esquire, of Geddes, Duncan Grant, Esquire, WS, and Alexander D. Fraser, Esquire, WS, though Mr Fraser died before the trust came into force. The trust was set up by Phineas MacKintosh in 1837 in order to administer his estate after his death: this occurred on 17 November 1840. It was registered in the Register of Deeds, Edinburgh. The trust, disposition and settlement arranged provision for Phineas MacKintosh's unmarried sister and then for his nieces, who were the daughters of Dr. Rose. |
