Description | Letter from John Hope to David Skene in which he discusses a list of plants sent by Skene which he has found since 1764 including sagina erecta, geranium rotundifolia, vicia lathyroides; Mr Ellis has sent him a print of the dionaea; Mr Menzies read a paper on a practice of raising fevers in Skye by anointing the body with an oil obtained by a coction of the liver of the skate, which is chiefly used as a cure for the rickets, 8 March 1769. |
