Typewritten report of Cruickshanks's activities in Germany, concluded on 20 April 1919; 22 sheets, with five enclosures bound in. A list of the members of the party commanded by Cruickshank is given on p.5. It consists of Lieutenant I.F. Barnett, of the U.S. army, Acting Corporal T. Wharton, and 18 others, mainly medical orderlies and drivers. The report, written in a fairly conversational style, describes in detail the party's activities: initial visit to Munich, interactions with the Bavarian authorities, visits to PoW camps in the are of the 3rd Bavarian Army Corps, interviews with prisoners etc. It includes sections ons 'Impressions of the People and Political Situation' and 'Attitudes towards the War, the Allies and America'.

The instructions to Cruickshank and the other teams ("Instructions to British Ambulance Parties" issued by Colonel C.E. Pollock are transcribed in full at the beginning of the report.

The enclosed documents are:
1. Note dated 8 January 1919 from W. Powell [?], Assistant Director of Medical Services, instruucting Cruickshank to report to General Ewart on arrival in Berlin.
2. Letter addressed to Cruickshank as S.M.O., British Ambulance Convoy, Group "T", from the British Repatriation Commission, Berlin, 27 Januaru 1919, giving instructions for his mission.
3. Identification paper issued by the Bavarian Ministry for Military Affairs, Munich, on 23 January 1919 ordering full cooperation with Cruickshank's group; signed by the Minister, Albert Rosshaupter, and the President of the Bavarian Soldatenrat (Soldiers' Council), Paul Simon
4. Two certificates giving numbers of Russian prisoners present in the Erlangen PoW camp, and certifying that there are no British or American prisoners in the camp. The camp has 2401 Russian soldiers, 2 Russian doctors, and 1 Russian clergyman.
5. Telegram to Cruickshank from General Ewart, Berlin, instructing him to return directly to Cologne once all areas cleared.
