| Description | Undated sketchbook (27cm x 19cm) with pencil sketches, mainly of the Netherlands.
The first few sketches in the book are views of Kew Gardens, the Thames near Kew Bridge, and trees in Greenwich Park. The remaining sketches are of Dutch scenes, mainly Rotterdam and Amsterdam. They include harbour and canal scenes, windmills and general views, and architectural studies. Some sketches are in pencil with pink wash. Also includes portrait sketches of a Dutch boy and a woman in traditional dress. |
