DescriptionEnvelope containing notes relating to medical problems connected with diving. Envelope contains list of hyperbaric units in military use, N.H.S use in England and Scotland and a copy of a management sheet for a diver with Delayed Type 2 Decompression sickness. A set of notes with a list of requirements and information about a course on Underwater Medicine at the Institute of Naval Medicine, Alverstoke, Hants including a medical certificate to certify fitness to take part in the course. Detailed hand written notes on course in brown notebook and on Beecham Research Laboratories pad including subjects such as hypothermia, effects of gases, decompression and Decompression Sickness, medical standards for divers, Barotrauma, underwater accidents and submarine escape. Two printed cards - a flow chart for treatment of decompression sickness and a medical checklist for assessing an unwell diver. Examples of admission and examination checklist sheets for diving accidents.
