Description | Letter from David Skene to his father, Andrew Skene, in which he states that he plans to leave Paris and intends to travel to Dunkirk to seek a Scottish vessel home; he has decided, for financial reasons, not to take his degree at Rheims but instead to take it at Aberdeen; he has bought 'Memoirs of the Academie of Surgery' for a price as dear as he would pay at home and has not also bought 'La Motte' for that reason, 5 May 1753. |
